Release Notes 1.6

This update should be out on your devices within a couple days at most. We’ll update in-game and on external medias when the release is out on app stores.

It’s been a long time coming. This release features a full rework to the Collection, the Shop, and 10 classic molds.

Collection Rework

More than a new look!

We have reworked the collection from the ground up. Not just the visuals, but how it works and saves in its entirety.

The old collection saved discs in an inefficient way which meant that sometimes when you had a bad connection (either due to your own connection or the server status) it could result in discs being lost while other discs were duplicated. We cannot guarantee that the new collection doesn’t have issues, but it should have much less incidents of this nature.

Highlighted Improvements:

  • Ability to see molds you haven’t yet collected.
  • Ability to open the collection with a larger amount of discs/lower end device.
  • Expanded filtering system.
  • Ability to navigate through a disc index instead of the long scroll of all discs for an easier time finding the disc you’re looking for.
  • Ability to customize the 3d look of your bag.
  • Added one additional disc slot for your bags, purchaseable with coins.
  • Removed the restriction for mold types in your bag.
  • Ability to rename your bag.
  • Added a rarity tier to all discs retroactively. You can now see the rarity of discs in your collection.
  • Ability to see disc variants of the same mold when adding a disc to your bag, for quick selection of your favourite color or attribute combo.
  • Added small icons for attributes making it easier to tell at a glance which attribute it is, especially on smaller screens where the text might be illegible.

Store Rework

A long overdue structural change

We have added many disc packs over the years, and for each disc pack we need to add a matching item for app stores. This list kept growing, and it would grow to become unmanagable if we continued with our current system.

We have condensed the shop items that need to be purchaseable with real money to stay that way, and added a premium currency called “Hyzerium” which will be the main way to purchase disc packs/mystery boxes in the future.

We’re wary of the reputation of premium currencies, and have taken the following steps to ensure that it’s clear what things cost in real money:

  • There is no “buy more, get more” when it comes to the difference between a $1 Hyzerium purchase and a $25 Hyzerium purchase. They will give the same dollar to Hyzerium ratio.
  • We have added a field to each item reminding the users the ratio so it’s easy to know how much you’re spending on a pack. ($1 = 100 Hyzerium)

We will also be able to reward winners of prestigious tournaments and events with Hyzerium.

Previously when shop items were active for a long time, we generally posted a social media post announcing that the pack will be expiring. With the shop rework we have implemented a timer that’s directly on the shop items so you easier know if a pack is expiring without having to rely on external information.

Team Series is finally back!

We’re releasing one Team Series pack each day for 8 days starting with Kristin Lätt on June 26th.

Balance Changes

A rework of 10 discs from Latitude 64°

Some of the oldest discs in the game are either too different in their flight compared to the real-life discs, outmatched by newer discs, or both.

In this release we’re starting to take the steps necessary to balance those molds. Starting with Latitude 64°, we looked at 10 molds that needed some long awaited adjustments.

Notes:

  • Your old discs will remain, but with a name change to signify that they are the original (old) version.
  • New discs received will be of the new versions. You can no longer get the old versions of these discs.
  • In the case that some of these discs would be significantly missed due to popularity, they may end up being “reprinted” on a mold more fitting their in-game flight.
  • All of the new variants will be immediately available in level up rewards and able to show up in the Daily Deals section of the shop.
  • Your old discs will be sorted as “limited” brand when filtering your collection.
